DaLoti Painting and Decorating was formulated in 1990 to meet the demands of an ever increasing desire for quality paint finishes.
"It's All in the Prep..." - At DaLoti Painting and Decorating we take the time to repair damage to substrates, patch holes and depressions, treat mould and water stains, sand down surfaces and imperfections before even considering applying a coat of finish. Painting is not merely about applying two coats of paint and the job is done. The key to a quality finish is the quality of the preparation.
EXAMPLE 1: Working in a 1960's Federation style house in Dulwich Hill, Sydney NSW, we were asked to repaint ceilings and internal walls to Lounge, Hallway, Bedrooms and Kitchen and Dining areas. The ceilings were all 'pressed-metal' panelled ceilings with the exception of the hallway being 'horse-hair' plaster. This project required substantial delicate preparation and meticulous repair- many of the wall substrates were 'white set ' plaster. These walls required an application of Dulux Sealer Primer (oil based) before any preparatory work began. The panelled ceilings required intricate repair and patching to retain the original floral designs. See the following photos for the end result.
EXAMPLE 2: A Hairdressing Salon on the Gold Coast, Queensland, the client was looking for a modern, New York style theme for his business. A fan of "stripes" we suggested wallpaper would present the most ideal and professional look to the store. The challenge for us was to plaster and patch the walls so when the "stripes" were put up,each corner would line up correctly. See the following photos.
